STACK Coming back to Newcastle Centre?!

Newcastle United Stack Fan Zome

Newcastle United have released CGI Images of what they hope will be the new fan zone.

You can see our reaction to it below – let us know your thoughts on our Youtube channel.

In the statement put out by NUFC it states – Designs for ‘St James’ STACK powered by Sela’ were officially unveiled to members of the public, local residents and neighbouring businesses with a mix of internal and external images displayed inside the stadiums Magpie Suite.

This significant step in the planning process also gave those an opportunity to provide face-to-face feedback to senior Newcastle United and STACK representatives as part of the formal planning.

If approved the fan zone will introduce a thriving food, rink and entertainment option for supporters visiting matches at St James Park as well as creating a bustling midweek leisure and social destination synonymous with the stack brand. It will be supported by the club’s front of shirt partner Sela.

Built using repurposed shipping containers around a central plaza and main stage area. St James Powered by Sela will be temporary construction that will attract people of all ages, with carefully curated events and attractions designed for families.

We were at the first Saudi International football match to be played at St James Park on the 8th September where Saudi Arabia played Costa Rica.

The match was controversial as normally home international games are played at their own country however it a sign of the strengthening relationship with Saudi Arabia and Newcastle united in a move that is beneficial for both parties with Newcastle United able to bring in more income and therefore more allowance for FFP as well as increasing a NUFC fanbase internationally and in Saudi.

At the event were Newcastle Sports Washing Group – as well as our usual speaking to fans before the game we spoke to two of them, the head of the organisation and then also we captured footage which saw a confrontation between NUFC fans and the sports washing group – we managed to get their response to what their ambitions were.

We would note this was a very small group and protest but were getting national coverage as Sky Sports and others were interviewing them. The Saudi fans that we spoke to either did not want to talk about the controversy or mentioned how its unfair that the spot light is in Saudi when there are so much wrongs all over the world from other countries. We have out two videos below, let us know in the YouTube videos comment section our thoughts – we read and respond to all comments and follow our You Tube channel for not only NUFC content but everything NUFC with lots of great local videos..

Statement released by family of five-year-old Layton Darwood

Statement released by family of five-year-old Layton Darwood
The heartbroken family of five-year-old Layton Darwood have issued a statement after a jury found banned driver Darren Jacques responsible for his death.
Following a six day trial at Newcastle Crown Court, Jacques, 42, of Penrith was convicted of causing death by driving while disqualified.
A statement issued by his mother Stephany on behalf of the family read: “We are devastated by what happened and miss Layton beyond words. He was a loving, happy little boy with his whole life ahead of him and our orst nightmare came true the day we lost him.
“Although some sort of justice has been served today it’s a very bitter sweet situation. It has taken a long, hard three years with many set-backs and challenges along the way.
“If it had not been for the determination of my mam and Northumbria Police we would not be here today, seeing justice be served for Layton.
“A common saying among police is ‘deeds not words’ and in this case the deeds of Sergeant Ray Lowery, Sergeant Russ Surrey and PC Greg Huntley have well outweighed all the words ever spoken.”
Our thoughts remain with Layton’s family at this incredibly difficult time. They’ve gone through something no one should ever have to go through.
This case has had a profound impact on everyone involved, including the officers and staff who have helped bring Jacques to justice, and it goes without saying that no one, especially a young child, should ever lose their life on our roads.
Jacques was released on bail and is due to be sentenced back at the same court on December 4.

NUFC land transfer signing minutes before the window closes!

Newcastle United Season Prediction

Newcastle United are reportedly set to complete the deadline-day signing of Shrewsbury Town starlet before the window closes!

According to the Shropshire Star, Newcastle United are closing in on a deal for highly-rated Shrewsbury midfielder Travis Hernes, who is on Tyneside today to put pen to paper on a deal with the north-east giants.

Travis Hernes is widely known as being one of the best young prospects in League 1! The Magpies have made five signings ahead of deadline day, with Yankuba Minteh joining before going out on loan to Feyenoord and Sandro Tonali, Harvey Barnes, Tino Livramento, and Lewis Hall adding to Howe’s first-team squad.

In total, just over£130 million has been splashed by the club plus the approximately £30 million they will be obligated to pay Chelsea for Hall following the end of his loan next summer.

Travis Hernes is a 17-year-old Norway youth international first broke onto the scene last season when he scored in Town’s EFL Trophy campaign against Wolverhampton Wanderers Under-21s.

He has been brought off the bench in two of the club’s League One outings this term, and he also featured against Leeds United in the Carabao Cup last month. The youngster was rewarded with his first professional deal with the third-tier outfit at the start of August.

That contract does not expire until the summer of 2026. But the Shropshire Star now reports the young midfielder is set to join Newcastle after travelling to the North East on Thursday to finalise a deadline-day move. Shrewsbury have reportedly received a 20 percent sell-on clause as part of the deal, with the Shropshire outfit also receiving an undisclosed fee from NUFC.
