Paul Cattermole cause of death revealed after S Club 7 star died aged 46

S Club 7 star Paul Cattermole’s cause of death has been revealed by coroners, a month after he died at the age of 46.

The singer was found in his Dorset home on 6 April, and was pronounced dead shortly after.

A spokesperson for the Dorset Coroner’s Service said: “I can confirm that Mr Cattermole died from natural causes and our investigations have concluded.”

Police have claimed that investigations into Cattermole’s death are still ongoing.

Cattermole found fame as one of the members of the pop group S Club 7. The band were preparing for a reunion tour before Cattermole’s sudden death.

Last week, it was announced that fellow S Club 7 member Hannah Spearitt, who once dated Cattermole, had dropped out of the 25th anniversary reunion tour.

The group’s five remaining members revealed that they were renaming the band S Club for the forthcoming tour, which will be called the Good Times tour in honour of their late bandmate. Cattermole had performed lead vocals on the band’s 2001 hit of the same name.

S Club now comprises Jo O’Meara, 44, Jon Lee, 41, Rachel Stevens, 45, Tina Barrett, 46, and Bradley McIntosh, 41.

Cattermole’s former bandmates shared heartfelt tributes to their former friend and collaborator in the days following his death.

In an emotional video shared on the group’s Instagram page, Lee said: “We have been in a bit of shock, and it has taken a while for us to find the right words to describe how we feel about losing our brother Paul.”

Stevens said: “Just taking the time to process and get our heads around it all, and also taking time to share time together so that we could remember Paul and all the memories we had together.”

McIntosh described Cattermole as a “big brother to us, all of us and you guys out there”, adding: “He truly was a unique specimen of human being.”

Bradley Lowery family upset Sheffield Wednesday

The parents of Bradley Lowery have been left “very upset” after a photo showing a couple of Sheffield Wednesday fans showed mocking their late son.

Lynn Murphy Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer of The Bradley Lowery Foundation told Chronicle Live that Bradley’s parents Gemma and Carl Lowery were “very upset” following what happened.

“Bradley’s family are aware of the image circulating around social media, and are understandably very upset.”

“At the age of just 6 years old, Bradley brought the football community together, with his infectious smile and personality, so to see the image of him being portrayed in this light is extremely upsetting for everyone who knew and loved him.

“We are grateful to Sheffield Wednesday in their quick condemnation of the actions of the people involved.

“We continue to have a good relationship with the football club, and understand this is an isolated incident and we thank the wider football community for their continued support of the Bradley Lowery Foundation.”

Sheffield Wednesday have launched an investigation with the police following the footage:

“We are aware of the images circulating and have launched an immediate investigation together with South Yorkshire Police. We roundly condemn this outrageous and utterly deplorable behaviour. We can only apologise for the undoubted distress caused to Bradley’s family and friends.”

Harvey Barnes Injury worse than thought – Confirmed

Published

on

Confirmation has come in this morning that Newcastle United Winger Harvey Barnes has been ruled out until 2024.

The winger doesn’t need surgery however the  foot injury will keep him out for 3 months. Eddie  Howe has spoken about the injury: “It’s come at a shocking time for him — he was just finding his rhythm & getting to know what is expected of him.”

 Eddie Howe on Injuries:

“We think he’s going to be out for around three months. No surgery required which is good news but his foot is now in a boot. It’s an injury underneath his toe.

He’s now started his recovery and he’s got to rest to let it recover then we can build him back up again.”

On Callum Wilson and Sven Botman:

“We’re going to see today. Callum has very minor hamstring tightness.

We’ll give him every chance of being available. Same with Sven – we’ll make a late check on him.”

On Emil Krafth:

“Emil will play for the U21s tonight. It’s really, really good to see him come back and hopefully do well today.”
